I soaked and washed my sandals in vinegar and now I cannot seem to get rid of the vinegar smell either. I have washed them about 3 times with detergent and nothing seems to work.
I used vinegar to get rid of smelly sandals, now how do I get rid of the vinegar smell?
powder them up with baking soda and let them sit in the sun
Reply:FeBreeze?
Reply:Dr. Schols
Reply:napalm
Reply:pour gasoline on it, and ignite it..
Reply:Febreeze is great for just about anything.
Reply:Use some fabric softner in the wash or where ever you are washing them. (sink?)
The smell will go away within time. Let them dry completely and the smell will be gone.
Reply:Wear them till your foot oder overpowers the vineger
Reply:use disinfection spray or try rubbing alcohol.
Reply:I second the baking soda suggestion. Vinegar is an acid, and baking soda is a base. They neutralize each other, which is why you get the bubbling foam when combining them in those homemade volcano projects.
