Is it OK to wear foot jewelry (anklets, barefoot sandals or toe rings) when I go to my Yoga class?
I have some barefoot sandals that look cute and I am wondering if it will affect me doing the exercises or if the instructor would disapprove.
What is OK to wear of the items I mentioned if some are not OK?

As long as it is not bulky or noisy when it moves around, you should be fine. You don't want to wear items that jingle or items that would restrict movement or scratch against your skin when you move.
As far as wanting to look fashionable in your class, I see nothing wrong with that. If anything, it will contribute to you having a positive attitude about yourself.
From the items you have mentioned:
Toe rings - completely fine, ones that contain crystals have a positive energy and are actually beneficial to wear
Anklets - as long as they are soft, no large beads or bells, simple twine and hemp are best and will help your chi
Barefoot sandals - fine as long as they are soft and non abrasive, muted and natural colors are best

As a chef, my husband has to wear a hat all the time. He has this tattered, bleached out, stinky Yankees ball cap (that was blue at one time but is now pink from repeated bleaching) that he WILL NOT PART WITH.
This leaves me with two choices - let him wear the hat or make an issue about it. I choose to NOT make an issue out of it.

If you don't wear them, be a nice guy and pitch them yourself.

Both will be great resorts. I would also suggest Breezes Runaway Bay (it re-opened last month after a massive renovation), and Club Ambiance (said to be the best bargain in Jamaica.) Both of those also have a "no kids" policy. Oh, Breezes no longer has the au natural beach area.
You can research all of these resorts, and many many more, at TripAdvisor.com. Just type in the resort name in the search area and trip reports written by previous visitors will be available. You can also see "candid traveler photos" and ask questions in the "forums" section. It is a tremendous resource for researching your trip.
The most important decision for your honeymoon will be the resort you choose. For that reason decide what you want in a resort and choose from there.
Just an aside: if you feel like walking on the wild side, Breezes offers free day or night trips to Hedonism III which is located about a mile away.

There were lots of activities and dining choices, but you could also do nothing and hang out pool or beach side. Everything was meticulously clean, and the employees were courteous. All of the rooms have ocean front balconies, and it's nice to order breakfast and have it on your balcony. Of course, I also recall getting a very good price on the trip because we booked it before they were even open. The only drawback is that it's a 45 minute or so bus ride from the airport. I don't know if Ochos Rios is closer. Sorry that I can't help you with Couples. Enjoy your honeymoon!

Okay, I hate socks, I hate trainers... and now PE has finally ended for me I'm not going to wear them ever again!!

Outside, I like to wear flip-flops as casualwear and kitten-heeled strappy sandals for school and formalwear.

Yes. My sister is usually barefoot indoors. Actually, always barefoot. Her feet are really nice-looking and they look perfectly fine. In the summer, my sis wears only sandals. Her feet are still small and dainty.
So don't worry, your feet are going to be fine.
Reply:The word is pedicure! You can find salons that will do it pretty cheap. The trick is to get a spa pedicure, where they scrub your feet and trim the skin. Plus, they will paint some cute designs on your big toes. Be careful and ask how much everything is ahead of time, they will try to get more business out you by adding things!
Reply:Yes, keep a foot scrub in the shower and use it everday. Lotion your feet after you shower everyday. Once a month get a pedicure w/ parafin wax.

Yes. My sister is usually barefoot indoors. Actually, always barefoot. Her feet are really nice-looking and they look perfectly fine. In the summer, my sis wears only sandals. Her feet are still small and dainty.

Plus, they will paint some cute designs on your big toes. Be careful and ask how much everything is ahead of time, they will try to get more business out you by adding things!

Is there a remedy for stinky feet caused by a pair of Sandals?
I have a pair of black "clunky" sandals that I really like, but I don't wear them all the time because they make my feet stink. It's a real bummer since summer is near. So if anyone has any suggestions as to what I can do to solve this problem w/o neccessarily getting rid of the sandals. Thanks to any and everyone that might have an answer or suggestion!

I just loving flip flop and i have more flip flops then i do sandals. I'm always wearing my kennth cole reaction flip flop because they are so comfortable but my husband hates them cause they make too much noise. The only time i wear sandals is to work or if i'm have something special to go to but if not i'm in my flip flops. so which do you prefer during the summer.

What is a good length of stay at a Sandals Resort?
My husband and I are planning to go to Sandals Whitehouse in October for our one year anniversary. Just wondering how many nights we should stay. We want to be able to enjoy our stay, but not get bored. Any suggestions?
What is a good length of stay at a Sandals Resort?
5 to 7 days should be enough. believe me you will not want to leave there when its done though. sandals resort is a beautiful place.
Reply:I would say about 6 nights or so. The first day you arrive is pretty much gone as you are tired from travelling. Then that gives you 5 full days to do different things. I used to work at Sandals Whitehouse and it is a fabulous property. I would suggest you check out what daily tours they have leaving the resort and see if you can pre-book a few. That way you already have an idea of what you will do each day. I recommend going to Mayfield Falls and also doing the horseback riding tour that allows you to go in the sea with the horses. If you like rum you can do the Appleton Rum tour and see how the different types of rum are made, sample them and get to purchase onsite also. The Black River safari tour is also nice as you get to go up the river and see the different wildlife especially the crocodiles and see the tour guide feed them when them come up to the boat. Sounds scary but its fun!
You may not choose to leave the property everyday because in fact there are different things you can do on site also. For example you can both have a couples day at the spa. The treatments are to die for and the atmosphere is very serene.They also have the different specialty restaurants so make sure you set it up so each night you can dine at a different one whether the Italian or Asian or Caribbean restaurants. If you love the beach then you will be fine as the water is nice and the beach is like half a mile long. There is also an entertainment committe that have different games and activities going on all day by the pool for prizes etc competing against other couples. At night there are different bands and performers that will come in and do a show that lasts until like 10 or 11pm.
One more suggestion, see if you can book a private candlelight dinner by the beach. It is to die for. you will have your own server to serve you at your pace, both of you sitting on the sand under the stars, a menu of your choice.... I think when it's time to go you will be sorry to leave. I hope you enjoy your trip.

Check to see if it's a firewall problem. There are some anti-spyware and anti-virus programs that prevents a program from connecting to the internet unless the user gives it permission. You probably need to give the game permission to access the internet.

whenever they get wet, they really stink and then consequently my feet stink, even after i've taken off the sandals!

The cork on my fiance's sandles are wearing down and I think I remember something I heard a long time ago about Birkenstock having a warranty with their shoes such as if the cork on the bottom of the sandals wears down, they will replace them? Anyone hear of this?

It is normal for the exposed cork on Birkenstocks sandals to show wear over time. To avoid this in the future,apply cork seal whenever the shiny look on your exposed cork begins to dull. By using the cork seal, your sandals will last longer.
Also, if you resole your Birkenstocks before you wear the sole down into the cork, they will last alot longer and will be less expensive to repair. Look for an authorized Birkenstock repair shop to have them resoled, or to do cork work. A new sole with major cork work will cost at least $50.00. It might be worth getting a new pair!

Just wear them with confidences. Strangers may still giggle at you but that's to be expected. Some strangers come up to me and ask about my shoes, It's fun to talk to a complete stranger about the women's shoes I'm wearing. Good luck

Is there a brand of men's sport sandals (with heel strap) whose straps won't pull out?
A long time ago, I had a pair whose soles wore out before the straps did, but these days the straps are just weakly glued or stitched, and they keep coming loose from the sole. Is there any brand of sandals that I can buy whose straps will stay connected for at least 300 miles of walking?
Why don't they make the strap a continuous loop through the middle of the sole? It wouldn't pull out then!

I was a travel agent for 6 years and have sold Sandals all over and have found your age and lifestyle makes a big difference for instance the Royal Carribean (I think it may have a new name now) in Montego Bay is for 40ish crowd and very conservative while Sandals Montego Bay is for the 20-30 crowd and has all night activities....If you go shopping in town bring singles its hard to get change they want to keep selling you more. How do you keep white flip flops or sandals clean???
i find that everytime i buy white or light colored sandals...i end up with a disgusting brown foot print on the inside sole. ive even gone as far as washing my feet right before i put on my shoes...and it still happens. any ideas on how to avoid them???
and pls don't give stupid answers like "wash your feet" or "don't wear white shoes"...only answer if you have some real advice!!!

i just bought this really cute pair of sandals with 4 inch heels, but i can't wear them for long because there's not much built-in support. i was looking on Dr. Scholl's website and was wondering what kind of insoles would you recommend? or you can recommend another brand. it just has to be within $20, reusable, and can be worn with any kind of shoes, not just sandals.

Looking for a store selling Dr Scholl wooden sandals that are vegan friendly?

Do You Kick Off Your Flip Flops or Sandals When Sitting or Standing Someplace?
I know a lot of people kick their flip flops off under a restaurant table or standing in a line. Some ppl get offended by that for some reason? Do you kick yours off? If not completely "off" at what point does it get offensive?Does the tip of your toe have to touch the thong strap?If you put your foot right on top of your flip flop instead of under the thin strap, how does that make a difference with ppl not getting mad?

The feeling that bare feet are particularly gross or offensive seems to be mostly a US thing; it is rare to see people barefoot here so I get lots of curious questions, and of course some folks point and stare but they do that when I have my hair dyed bright red too. I agree, it's very silly to consider bare feet offensive on sight and say flipflops are fine, that's just ridiculous! Some people are afraid of injury if your soles touch the ground -which really isn't necessary, feet are much tougher than most people think- but those who claim flipflops should be worn for *appearance* sake are really out of it.

I work at a desk job.The rule is your feet have to be at least touching your shoes.So your toes can touch your sandals and the rest of your foot can touch whatever.How dumb is that?Also if you have your flipflops on ppl can see the bottom of your foot anyway.

I love flip-flops. I kick my off all the time though. Especially when I'm at school sitting at my desk. One of my teachers makes fun of me because I always tap my feet on the ground. LOL. =)

I'm flying tomorrow and thinking of wearing sandals. Is that a good idea?
I'm flying tomorrow in Florida, and I'm wondering if I should wear sandals. I'm thinking it will make it easier in security and stuff like that. Are there any problems I should be aware of?

Reply:Planes can get pretty cold, so if you are ok with having cold toes there should be no problems.

A reason not to is that when you go through security, you have to take your shoes off and walk on that nasty floor that about 10,000 other people walked on that day. They do have those doctor shoe covers to go on your feet if you don't want to walk on the nasty carpet. So I would suggest sandals but make sure you ask for the footies.....you don't want to be dirty boy.

How many guests can I bring on to Sandals' compound to attend a wedding?
I am thinking about getting married at one of the Sandals resorts in Jamaica. Its a logistics challenge, Some guests are from Jamaica, and will not be staying at the hotel. I need to know if they need day passes to attend the wedding on the beach.

I was married at Sandals Montego Bay this past November. Any guests that are not staying at a Sandals Resort will need a day pass to be allowed on the property. Day passes cost $80 (9am-6pm) or $110 (6am-2am) per person. We chose the $80 passes and my guests stayed until 10pm - nobody said anything or asked them to leave.
*Your wedding will be everything ya'll dreamed of. The on site wedding coordinators are amazing... they will take over all planning so you and your fiance can relax.
Reply:You should definitely make these arrangements well before your trip. Something like a wedding requires you have all such details worked out well before a dozen or so people pay to go on this trip. It would be catastrophic if some of them could not attend. Contact the resort management immediately and make this request. They will respond with details. Then keep copies of all emails in case it is needed.
That said, Sandals is a reputable company and will definitely work with you. There might be a charge involved on a per person basis. But again, find that out well in advance.
