Do you know of anyways to get rid of smelly sandals?

I have several paors of sandals. Two of them, have begun to smell. At first it was just noticeable when I took them off, but now it has gotten stronger and I can smell them sometime when I walk too.. it's embarasssing!! I don't know if toher people can smell them, but I don't want them to-- it's terrible! They one pair of sandals is black but the other is brown, so they look pretty dirty too-- you know where my foot rests? I've tried having them soak in the sun during the day, but it didn't help. Tehy alwasys have time to air out before I put them back on. I shower daily, so it's not liike I'm super-drity when i put on the shoes...

what could I do to get the smell out?

throw them out in the trash
Reply:Just chuck em. That's gross.
Reply:In answer to your two questions: 1) you could throw them in the trash, or, 2) you could clean them with rubbing alcohol or windex and then put foot powder on them as well as use foot powder on your feet before you use them.
Reply:when sandels get to that point you need to throw them away and buy new ones and wash you feet too it will help
Reply:Febreeze?
Reply:It might be because you shower daily and get them wet daily. Havent' you ever left a shirt in the dryer but forgot to turn the dryer on? After like a day that you remember it was in there it's getting dry but it smells bad.

I suggest to

Throw them away.....is it that hard?
Reply:Throw 'em over the deck, Captain! Lol! Sorry I couldn't help myself! Lol!
Reply:throw them out. if they're rubber they'll never stop smelling. yuck.
Reply:Sprinkle baking soda and let them sit overight.
Reply:Something that worked for some people I know that had the same problem is putting them in the dishwasher...without dishes..lol And then when there dry and clean but some powder in them after wearing them a few times...this will solve the problem..good luck!
Reply:make a paste out of baking soda and water and dip a fingernail brush into this mixture and scrub them...do not rinse this...let it them sit overnight and then rinse and dry
Reply:You can try this : put sandals in a baggie- Ziploc, grocery sack whatever, and put them in your freezer overnight. IF indeed the smell caused by perspiration, this should do the trick- it works on my husbands sandals. Good luck!
