Should I go to the store in sandals and leave them at the customer service desk?

I hate wearing shoes when I go to the store, but it's raining. Should I wear some sandals into the store and take them off when I get in and leave them at the customer service desk and walk around the store in socks? Does anyone have any better suggestions then this?

in america, you usually must have a shirt, shoes to enter a store.
Reply:You are kidding, right? Why do you hate wearing shoes in a store? You wear them to work, right? I don't think they will allow you to walk around in socks. It's unsanitary for them and the socks are slippery and you can fall and sue them. You are weird%26gt;
Reply:I agree with Erin. In America you must have a shirt and shoes on to enter any public place other then the beach or a water park.
