How can I save my sandals?

I have a pair of Columbia sandals that I really like. Unfortunately, they are rubber and sweat builds-up on them... lately they have really made my feet stink. They stink on their own just sitting there. Is there any way I can rescue them? Would it help to disinfect them?

How can I save my sandals?
I think disinfecting them would probably help alot!

If you think they'll hold up to a machine washing, give that a try, but don't tumble-dry them. If they're not up to a machine washing, wash them by hand in the kitchen sink with a bit of laundry soap. Giving them a good spray of Lysol every so often will also help keep the bacteria, fungus and "funk" in check. ; )
Reply:hose em down, soap them up and above all, love them, love them as much as you can
Reply:You can get the liner part replaced. Teh part attached to the shoe that your foot contacts. If they are leather you can use soemthign called sadle soap and then an oil. If they are cloth toss em in th elaundry (by themselves) with a good load of detergent and bakign soda.

Sorry are they all rubber of just the soles? For all rubber i take soem detergent adn a srub brush and scrub in bathtub. looks like new. DOtn use a cleaner it might take the dye off.
Reply:Throw them out and move on lol. Send away for another pair.
Reply:Maybe try Febreeze? I have a pair of sneakers I last wore over a year ago and they still smell. I had to throw them out, so time alone doesn't fix it.

Maybe Lysol spray or something. The smell is basically mold or something like that.
