How can and why do some people wear flip flops(thong sandals) with socks?

Ok I don't want to turn this into yet another discussion of sandals with socks. It is sandals with a thong (piece of material that goes in between the toes) that I don't understand why someone would choose to wear with socks. I also understand that there are special socks now for them, but I have seen some people wear plain old socks with them. Aren't they hard to keep on? Arent they hard to walk with? If someone was gonna choose to wear sandals with socks why woulnd't they choose the the non thong type??

LOL, You and me both I don't get this one too! I think it because they don't want to get there feet dirty!!Why not just use shoes!And there is no special socks for this type of foot wear!

Like I own Birkenstocks and some people think they're hideous, and I agree, but they are ridiculously comfortable.


Same goes for this, my friends and I think it's a horrible fashion crime and when people wear it for real; we laugh. But some people wear them as jokes.

Reply:I only do it in the house..mostly because my toes get cold and wearing socks keep them warm..but I don't feel like wearing shoes. sandals are just more comfortable.
