How can i stretch my leather sandals?

i just bought gladiator sandals today

and the leather is really tight

i wore them today and i was in terrible pain

my mom said to wear them with thick socks so that they would stretch out a bit and i am

but i was wondering of there's any other ways?

How can i stretch my leather sandals?
Get them wet!
Reply:well you could try taking them to the shoe repair store, they do have equipment to stretch shoes, i do not know the correct name of the equipment as i have seen them in the shoe repair store.
Reply:Soak your feet with them on in some warm water or use some kneetsfoot oil(sp?) on them. Then wear them for a few hours. They will stretch a LOT.
Reply:Oil the leather to loosen them up or you can wear them while their wet and then oil them. mink oil is best
Reply:oh that's easy.

soak them in warm water and wear them until they dry.

But be careful because it may cause the color to darken or they might stretch too much.

C: hope this helps you.
Reply:put a beer bottle in it
Reply:There are these things that are made for people to use to stretch shoes, people use them all the time. If none of these things work you may want to consider taking the shoes somewhere where the shoes can be stretched professionally. Good Luck! :)
Reply:if you take them to a shoe store or repair they can stretch it out for you
Reply:wetting your sandals may make the sole come away. If the sandal uses no glue, then wearing wet is the best way to stretch them otherwise wear socks with them. If you take the socks option wear your sandals around the house, Gladiator sandals and socks are a big NO NO
