Guys would you wear robe and sandals? Do you wish it was more part of our society?

I have seen guys dressed liked this esp. on college campuses. Some look middle eastern others might belong to a certain religious group. None the less I think these look sexy and might even feel sexy wearing. Would you wear robe and sandals if it become more of a popular thing in our society?

Way Back in the '70's, wearing a Kaftan %26amp; going barefoot was 'normal', but, at the same time a bit out of place. I never wore one, but my English Teacher in High School did. He was always getting into trouble for it too, as in those days, if it didn'y have legs %26amp; a fly it was a dress %26amp; therefore for females Only. Kilts were regarded the same way. I Personally, do not think that robes %26amp; sandles should be part of OUR Culture. If a person wants to wear those things for GENUINE Religious Reasons, DURING Religious Ceremony, then DO IT. At ALL Other times dress like the rest of us. I used to be part of a coven of witches. NOT Wiccans. Rituals were performed with all of of us wearing our Magickal Robes %26amp; barefoot or special slippers. This did NOT mean that we had to wear our robes at all times.! Robes are 'More' Special when only worn at certain times. As everyday wear, that's all they are. ALL Religious meaning is then meaningless. Short Answer...... "NO".
Reply:I did wear them for many years, they are hell to keep clean. I had spent 8 years in a monastery.
Reply:yes I would. Love to be living in ancient roman times
Reply:Only the sexy ones, as those of soldiers in ancient Rome. Then again, that is only possible in warm climats.
Reply:Sounds good to me. I think it would give a sense of freedom that pants do not. And no need for underwear. Just drop it over your head and you are off for the day. We are gay folk let's start a trend. The straights can catch up later. Like adult men wearing shorts in the 50s.
Reply:Rome has had it's time, but I think of it fondly.
